5-Day Induction Course for New Care Staff

Start your career in care with confidence.
Our 5-Day Induction Course is a classroom-based and practical training programme designed for people who are new to health and social care. It provides all the essential knowledge and hands-on experience needed to deliver safe, compassionate, and high-quality support from day one.

Delivered by professional healthcare trainers with over 25 years of industry experience, this course meets Skills for Care and Care Certificate standards — making it the ideal foundation for anyone starting a career in care or support work.

What the Course Covers

Over five interactive and practical days, learners will cover:

  • Understanding your role and responsibilities in care

  • Effective communication and accurate record keeping

  • Person-centred care, dignity, and privacy

  • Safeguarding adults and children

  • Infection prevention and control

  • Health and safety in care environments

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – delivered by a Resuscitation Council UK-trained instructor

  • Manual Handling & Mobility Support – taught by a ROSPA-trained instructor

  • Mental Capacity Act & Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)

  • Equality, diversity, and inclusion

  • Professional boundaries and confidentiality

On successful completion, participants receive an Anglia Support Services Induction Certificate, confirming they have met all elements of the Care Certificate and mandatory care standards — fully recognised by CQC and Skills for Care.
